The process in this case they wish you to go through is to have the transmission examined by the selling dealer, which it sounds like you have and they agreed with you. They then take the failed part and give you a new one at which point they will send it in to there warranty department to verify the dealers claim. All while you are happily on your way with a new transmission. I know its not this simple but in a nut shell this is what I was told. I called to check nothing has changed as I have been out of the loop with nissan for some years. I emailed you the contact info of whom I spoke to.
